SubSearch is an online service provided by the Irish National Teachers' Organisation (INTO) to help qualified teachers find substitute work in primary schools. Your use of the SubSearch website is subject to the Terms and Conditions set out below. Use of this website constitutes your acceptance of these Terms. Users who violate these Terms may have their use of SubSearch suspended or terminated, at INTO's discretion. All use by you of SubSearch is at your own risk.
Use of Content
You may not use any of the SubSearch content on any other website or in any other database.
Users are responsible for reviewing information posted online.
All SubSearch users agree that:
- Users must use this website and the facilities made available on it only for their intended purposes.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account, profile and passwords, as applicable.
All SubSearch users agree that you may not
- Share your password or other account access information with any other party, temporarily or permanently.
- Copy or duplicate, in any manner, information available on this website, other than as permitted by these Terms and Conditions.
- Post any false or misleading content or material on this website.
- Access data not intended for you or log into a server or account which you are not authorised to access.
- Solicit passwords or personally identifiable information from other users of SubSearch.
- Post or submit any incomplete, false or inaccurate biographical information or information which is not your own.
- Post any information on behalf of another party.
- Delete or alter any material posted by any other person or entity.
- Make unsolicited phone calls or send unsolicited emails or faxes promoting and/or advertising products or services to any user.
- Post, distribute, store or destroy content made available on the SubSearch website.
- Use any data mining, robots or similar data gathering software.
- Violate or attempt to violate the security of this website.
- Use SubSearch for any unlawful purpose or any illegal activity, or post any content, that is defamatory, libellous, implicitly or explicitly offensive, vulgar, obscene, threatening, abusive, hateful, racist, discriminatory, of a menacing character or likely to cause annoyance, inconvenience, embarrassment, anxiety or could cause harassment to any person or include any links to pornographic, indecent or sexually explicit material of any kind, as determined by SubSearch's discretion.
When you register you will be asked to create an account and provide certain information including valid email address. All SubSearch users agree that:
- Any information submitted must be accurate and some standard fields must be completed.
- You are solely responsible for the content and accuracy of any material contained therein placed by you on the SubSearch website.
- You must re-register your availability regularly, as the system limits.
- You acknowledge that you have no ownership rights to your account. If you wish to deactivate your SubSearch account or if your SubSearch account is terminated, all your account information from SubSearch will be removed from the SubSearch mailing list.
User Content and Submissions
All information, documentation or other materials submitted or posted on SubSearch is the sole responsibility of the person from which such content originated. SubSearch reserves the right to refuse to accept, post, display or transmit any user content in its sole discretion.
SubSearch does not represent or guarantee the accuracy or reliability of user content.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your information and password. You may not share your password or account access information with any other party, temporarily or permanently, and you shall be responsible for all uses of your registration whether or not authorised by you. You agree to immediately notify SubSearch of any unauthorised use of your registration or password.
Deactivating a SubSearch account
If you no longer wish to use the SubSearch facility please log in to your account and under "Edit my Profile" choose "Deactivate my Account". This will result in your details no longer appearing to other users on SubSearch and your details being removed from the SubSearch mailing list. Your account may be reactivated if you wish to use the service in the future. To reactivate your account please send an email containing your activation request along with your name to firstname.lastname@example.org. SubSearch admin will reactivate your account.
The SubSearch website is a facility for (i) principals to post vacancies for substitute teachers only and (ii) unemployed qualified teachers to post profiles and search for and evaluate job opportunities. SubSearch does not screen or censor listings. SubSearch is not involved in the actual transaction between employers and candidates. SubSearch is not responsible for User Content, the quality, safety or legality of the jobs posted, the truth or accuracy of the listings, the ability of employers to offer job opportunities to candidates or the ability of candidates to fill vacancies. While SubSearch reserves the right to remove user content, job postings, and other material from the SubSearch Sites from time to time, SubSearch does not assume any obligation to do so and to the fullest extent permitted by law, disclaims any liability for failing to take any such action.
SubSearch cannot and does not confirm that each user is who they claim to be. If you believe that something on the site violates these Terms and Conditions please contact email@example.com.
To the fullest extent possible by law, SubSearch does not warrant that this website will operate free of errors or computer viruses. There are certain risks in using the internet and SubSearch is made available to all users without any undertakings or warranties of any kind.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SubSearch, its affiliates, and their respective officers, employees and agents, from and against any claims, actions or demands, including without limitation reasonable legal and accounting fees, alleging or resulting from (i) any User Content or other material You provide to this SubSearch Site, (ii) Your use of any SubSearch Content, or (iii) Your breach of these Terms.
INTO and SubSearch provide an email and text messaging servicing solely for the use of principals contacting substitute teachers with regard to teacher vacancies in primary schools. This service allows principals to automatically text or email teachers with details of vacancies. It also allows principals to contact successful and unsuccessful applicants with details regarding filling of positions.
By using the INTO SubSearch service, you agree that you have read, understand, and accept the terms and conditions below for all use of SubSearch email and texting services. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, do not subscribe.
You may not use the INTO SubSearch facility to email or text any material that may be unlawful, obscene, defamatory, threatening, infringing on any copyright or other rights of others, or damaging to software or hardware.
INTO and SubSearch accept no responsibility or liability for information or actions arising from unlawful use of this communication service. You are legally responsible, and solely responsible, for any email or text sent through this service.
You may not use this service to participate in any fraudulent activities, including impersonating any person or entity.
You may not invade another person’s privacy, collect or store personal data about other users, or stalk or harass another person or entity.
The INTO SubSearch Services may not be used to send unsolicited, bulk or commercial messages or for any other unsolicited communications. This includes, without limitation, using automatic dialling and announcing devices to or otherwise make unsolicited voice or facsimile calls and bulk mailing of commercial advertising, informational announcements, charity requests, petitions for signatures and political or religious messages.
You may not post, communicate or otherwise distribute any material that may be unlawful, obscene, defamatory, threatening, infringing on any copyright or other rights of others, or damaging to software or hardware.
The Services may not be used to send messages to any individual who has indicated that he/she does not wish to receive messages from you.
The propagation of chain letters is similarly prohibited, whether or not the recipient wishes to receive such mailings.
Although INTO and SubSearch has no obligation to monitor the content provided by you or your use of the Services, it may do so and may remove any such content or prohibit any use of the Services INTO and SubSearch believe may be (or is alleged to be) in violation of the foregoing.
You understand that e-mails that are sent through the SubSearch Service may generate abuse complaints from recipients. As a matter of privacy, INTO and SubSearch does not have to share with you the e-mail addresses or phone numbers of those who complain.
As set out above, you are responsible for any misuse of the Services, by you or by any other person with access to the Services through your Equipment or your account. Therefore, you must take steps to ensure that others do not gain unauthorised access to the Services through any means, including, without limitation, wireless networking and wired networking. The Services may not be used to breach the security of another user or to attempt to gain access to any other person’s equipment, software or data, without the knowledge and consent of such person. Additionally, the Services may not be used in any attempt to circumvent the user authentication or security of any host, network, or account.
INTO and SubSearch do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error free, nor do they make any warranty as to the results that may be obtained from use of the service. You acknowledge and agree that not all messages sent via SubSearch service will be received by their intended recipients.
In no event shall INTO, its employees or agents, or anyone else who has been involved in the creation, production or delivery of these pages be liable for any direct, incidental, or consequential damages, such as, but not limited to, loss of anticipated profits, benefits, use, or data resulting from the use of these pages.
You hereby agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless INTO and SubSearch and its employees, distributors and agents against any damages, losses, liabilities, settlements, and expenses (including without limitation costs and reasonable attorneys’ fees) in connection with any claim or action that (i) arises from any alleged breach of this Agreement, (ii) arises from the content or effects of any messages you distribute using the Products or (iii) otherwise arises from or relates to your use of the service. In addition, you acknowledge and agree that INTO and SubSearch has the right to seek damages when you use the service for unlawful purposes, in an unlawful manner, and/or in a manner inconsistent with the terms of this Agreement.
Deleting Subsearch Accounts
Deactivated substitute Subsearch accounts are deleted in August of each year.
Any Subsearch account can be deleted by request. If you would like your account to be deleted please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
These Terms and Conditions May Change
INTO and SubSearch may, at its sole discretion, terminate or suspend the access to the Services or any portion thereof of any user for any reason.
No changes to these Terms shall be made except by a revised posting on this page. SubSearch may revise these Terms at any time by posting updated information on this website. Logos used on the site are protected by copyright and you may not copy or use these logos without permission from INTO.
